Andy Fitze

Andy Fitze is an internationally renowned digital cognitive strategist and leading global advisor on emerging technologies, digital transformation, and AI. He is also the co-founder of the award-winning SwissCognitive and CognitiveValley Foundation, a gathering of the world’s most prominent AI experts on a mission to leverage AI for economic growth. An authority on AI, Andy illuminates Fortune 500 companies and high-performing startups on the applications of AI, helping them to increase innovation, productivity, and growth. An eloquent speaker, Andy delivers thought-provoking presentations on the implications and applications of AI.

In 1991, Andy earned a degree in Electrical Engineering at the NTB Interstaatliche Hochschule fur Technik Buchs. He later obtained an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen in 2003. Starting his career as a Contract Project Leader Building Automation at Siemens, he became Head of SW Development & Projectleader at COVAG before joining Airbusiness Consulting as Head of IT Services. In 2001, he became a Teamleader in Business Engineering at PostFinace before being promoted to Head of IT Service Management, Deputy IT Operations, and Head of IT Governance.

In 2013, he joined RUAG as Group Chief Information Officer, serving as a Chief Executive for the group-wide IT and operations management globally. He became a Member of the Board Committee of ICTswiterland in 2016, promoting the collaboration between the ICT industry, technology institutes, and academic partners. Andy works at the Berner Fachhochschule BFH as a Lecturer in AI for Business, helping executives master the future challenges of data-based organisational and business life. He is also a Lecturer in CAS Architectur Digitisation at ETH Zurich. Andy sits on the Head Tech Advisory Board for Oliver Heer Ocean Racing and the Board of Directors for LAVEBA, among others.
