Dr. Stuart Armstrong

Dr Stuart Armstrong is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Aligned AI. Receiving a stellar education, Stuart earned a Tripos, Part I, II and III in Mathematics at the University of Cambridge before completing a doctorate in Mathematics at the University of Oxford. He began his career as a Consultant Researcher at IOpener before joining the Erwin Schrodinger Institute and the University of Vienna as a Mathematics Researcher. In 2008, he became Research Director at InhibOx, spending three years at the pioneering biotechnology research company. Stuart then spent the next decade working at the Future of Humanity Institute, Oxford University, as the James Martin Research Fellow, designing safe and aligned AI systems.
