Peter Erickson

Peter Erickson’s career spans more than four decades at the forefront of technology, business development, and innovation, culminating in his recognised leadership in artificial intelligence and the fast-emerging field of agentic AI. He began his journey in data processing at Costco Wholesale in 1983, building a practical understanding of systems and operations at scale. Through the late 1980s and 1990s, Erickson moved into senior commercial roles, including Regional Director at Erickson, Inc., and Vice President of National Accounts at both Shube’s Manufacturing and Bomac International. These positions sharpened his ability to build partnerships, scale revenue, and lead national strategies.

By the early 2000s, Peter had established himself in the technology sector, holding business development leadership roles at Vitessa Corporation, PictureIQ, and CoCo Communications. His focus shifted firmly towards emerging technologies and digital ecosystems, setting the foundation for his future work. In 2008, he founded Technology Frontiers and served as Vice President of Development Strategies at G&H International Services before launching Modev in 2009. Modev became a cornerstone of his career, centred on building developer communities and fostering human connection in an increasingly digital world. That same year, he founded Disruptathlon, reinforcing his commitment to innovation-led collaboration.

Peter continued to expand his influence with the launch of ExoLeaders in 2016 and AGENTIC in 2017. Through AGENTIC, he has played a pivotal role in advancing enterprise adoption of autonomous agents, bringing together leaders to explore how agentic AI can transform operations across multi-modal environments. His work focuses on practical deployment, addressing the real challenges organisations face when integrating intelligent agents into their workflows.

In 2025, Erickson founded the Tech Ecosystem Institute (TEI), where he serves as Executive Director. Here, he has developed the Ecosystem Health Index, a strategic framework designed to help organisations measure and strengthen their technology ecosystems. Alongside this, his Trust Driven Growth methodology reflects a shift from transactional models towards ecosystem-led value creation. Today, Peter Erickson is regarded as a leading voice in agentic AI and ecosystem strategy, helping organisations navigate the transition to autonomous, AI-driven futures while building sustainable, trust-based growth.
