Dr Rozelle Kane

Dr Rozelle Kane MBBS MA MPhil (PHS) MRCGP is a respected artificial intelligence keynote speaker, practising NHS GP and healthcare innovation leader, recognised for her expertise in clinical AI safety, digital transformation and medical decision-making. Combining frontline healthcare experience with deep academic insight, Rozelle has built a reputation for helping organisations understand how artificial intelligence can be responsibly integrated into healthcare systems. Her work explores how emerging technologies, clinical data and human judgement intersect, bringing clarity to one of the most rapidly evolving areas of modern medicine. As Clinical Digital & Innovation Lead at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, she works at the forefront of healthcare transformation, supporting the adoption of digital solutions that improve patient care while maintaining rigorous clinical standards.

Rozelle’s career began with an academic focus on neuroscience, philosophy and clinical medicine, driven by a long-standing interest in how medical decisions are formed and evaluated. She later completed an MPhil investigating blood biomarkers for dementia, contributing to research surrounding earlier detection of Alzheimer’s disease through blood testing. Her work sits within one of healthcare’s most consequential scientific developments, examining how clinicians and health systems can respond to diagnostic advances before symptoms and crises emerge. Alongside her clinical practice within the NHS, Rozelle has contributed to an EPSRC report exploring how digital technology can reduce unnecessary hospital admissions, analysing which interventions genuinely improve patient outcomes beyond initial pilot programmes.

Today, Rozelle is also the Co-Founder of EMBLA Risk Solutions, a healthcare AI assurance company focused on developing independent standards for clinical decision intelligence. Through EMBLA, she applies Bayesian statistics and reliability engineering to assess whether artificial intelligence systems are genuinely safe for patient use, an area many healthcare organisations are only beginning to address. She additionally advises organisations on EU AI Act compliance and Software as a Medical Device regulation, supporting businesses navigating the complex legal and ethical challenges surrounding healthcare AI.
