Jared Lander

Jared P. Lander is Chief Data Scientist of Lander Analytics, Organiser of the New York Open Statistical Programming Meetup and The New York and Government Data Science & AI Conferences, an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School, and a Visiting Lecturer at Princeton University. He oversees the long-term direction of Lander Analytics and serves as Lead Data Scientist, guiding strategy, models, and algorithms for modern data needs, alongside client-facing consulting and training.

Jared holds a master’s degree in statistics from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Muhlenberg College, with experience across academic research and industry. He is the author of ‘R for Everyone’ (now in its second edition), based on the courses he teaches at Columbia and used in corporate training. An R Consortium Board Member, Jared is an active member of the global data community and a frequent speaker at conferences, universities, and meetups worldwide.
