Dr Alex Connock is a highly regarded Artificial Intelligence keynote speaker, academic and media entrepreneur, known for shaping how AI is applied across media, marketing and business strategy. He currently holds the role of Senior Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, alongside his position as Professor of Media and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Exeter. Alex operates at the intersection of academic research and commercial practice, helping senior leaders understand how AI is changing content creation, decision-making and competitive advantage.

Alex teaches Artificial Intelligence across BA, MBA, Executive MBA and postgraduate programmes, including AI for Executives, Artificial Intelligence for Business and Media, AI and the Metaverse. In 2025, he was awarded a Teaching Excellence Award at Oxford University for Innovation in AI Education, recognising his ability to translate emerging technologies into practical leadership insight. His academic work is closely connected to industry, with executive education and advisory projects delivered for organisations including Meta, Goldman Sachs and global media groups.

Alongside academia, Alex brings more than 20 years of entrepreneurial leadership. He is Managing Director of Librairie AI, working on AI-driven content generation and early-stage innovation, and remains actively involved in media and AI startups. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Ten Alps with Bob Geldof and later became Managing Director of Endemol Shine North, overseeing major growth in television, branded content and digital production. Across his career, he has been shortlisted six times for UK Entrepreneur of the Year awards, reflecting sustained commercial impact.

Alex is also a recognised authority through his publishing. He is the author of ‘Media Management and Artificial Intelligence’, published by Routledge and released internationally, with a second edition in development. His wider work includes books on live experience, entrepreneurship and emerging research on quantum computing and the media. As a keynote speaker, Alex delivers clear, evidence-based perspectives on generative AI, AI strategy and the future of media ecosystems, drawing on real-world case studies from boardrooms, classrooms and global stages.
