Andrew’s career began in naval architecture, where he developed his technical foundation at Austal before progressing to BAE Systems and later Babcock International as a design manager. His move into QinetiQ marked a shift towards commercial and strategic responsibilities. Starting as a business development manager, he rose to managing director for the sea systems division, leading hundreds of staff and successfully securing a major UK Ministry of Defence contract. This period sharpened his ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and deliver large-scale technical programmes. He then transitioned into the world of elite motorsport, first as the head of vehicle design at McLaren Racing and later as Operations Director at McLaren GT and Programme Director. His expertise in high-performance engineering and operational excellence eventually took him into the financial sector. At Schroders, he served as COO and global head of process engineering, improving key investment processes before taking on senior roles at G Research, where he oversaw business process re-engineering and later acted as operations director for engineering. Since assuming leadership at Rathbone Results, he has led a significant transformation of the company, tripling revenue through improved operations, financial systems, marketing strategy, and the adoption of AI-driven processes.
Alongside his professional achievements, Andrew is a chartered engineer, a qualified executive coach, and a graduate of the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme. He is also a Leadership Fellow at St George’s House in Windsor Castle, contributing to annual conferences on the societal and geopolitical impact of disruptive technologies.
