Cal’s career path reflects a rich combination of academic insight and practical experience. Holding a BA in Applied Social Sciences and an MSc in Social Research, he has specialised in areas such as carbon accounting and emissions modelling. He began his career at Doncaster College before moving on to the UK Home Office as a Workflow Manager, later transitioning into climate-focused roles in local government, including Principal Climate Change Officer and Climate Change Data Analyst at Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. These roles equipped him with a unique understanding of policy, data, and the human impact of climate change—foundations that now underpin his influential work in digital sustainability.
