Danilo McGarry is the Head of Digital Transformation at Alter Domus, running world-class digital transformation programs that incorporate pioneering emerging technologies, including generative AI, intelligent automation and re-engineering. One of the Top 50 Most Influential People in AI, he has been named an Industry Thought Leader by The Times and is currently a Board Member of the AI Forum, a prominent organisation providing the latest insights in AI. A leading keynote speaker on AI, generative AI, ChatGPT, OpenAI and digital transformation, Danilo has spoken at over 133 events worldwide, leaving audiences with valuable takeaways.
Earning a BSc in Business Management from the University of Bath, Danilo has since completed an MSc in Automation/RPA/Artificial Intelligence Engineering and multiple courses at notable institutions, including Data Science: Machine Learning at Harvard University, Computer Science: Algorithms, Theory and Machines at Princeton University, and Game Theory Economics at Yale. He began his career as a Project Innovation Manager at Motorola Solutions in 2004, then joined JPMorgan Chase & Co as a Senior Analyst in Digital Transformation and Automation in 2006. Danilo went on to become a Project Manager at Danone, using his expertise in digital transformation to revive product lines such as V-Energy.
In 2007, he joined BNP Paribas as a Senior Associate before becoming RBC’s youngest Associate Director globally. Having accumulated substantial expertise in digital transformation, Danilo established a consultancy, advising organisations across multiple industries and countries. With substantial international exposure, he joined Citi in a Directorship level role, responsible for AI, Machine Learning and Automation Capital Markets Division. After that, Danilo undertook a Directorship in Advanced Automation Capabilities at the UnitedHealth Group, which involved over 1000 robots and was dubbed the world’s largest automation program.
Recognised as a world-leading authority in digital transformation and AI, Danilo has appeared in prominent publications, including The Financial Times, Bloomberg, Yahoo!Fiance and Business Chief. Moreover, he has advised leading organisations, such as PwC, EY, McKinsey Digital, KPMG and J.P.Morgan. He ranks in the Top 20 People in the World for AI, was named Top 50 ML & Data Science Experts to Follow in 2023 and is included on the Powerlist 200 World’s Top Business & Technology Innovators.
