Felix Hovsepian

Felix Hovsepian is a distinguished figure in AI, currently serving as the AI Module Lead for the Executive Diploma at the University of Warwick. He is also the founder of Blue Maniford, researching mathematical logic, complexity science and computation and completing advisory assignments for C-suite clients across industries, including medical, energy, financial, legal, digital security, education and electric vehicles. Demystifying machine learning and AI, in his speaking engagements, he also covers natural computation, the future of the digital landscape and the fourth industrial revolution.

Possessing multiple degrees, Felix holds a BA in Pure Mathematics from the University of Warwick, an MS in Mathematical Physics from King’s College London, an MS in Information Systems Engineering from London South Bank University and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Warwick. He began his career as a Management Consultant for Deloitte before embarking on an academic career as a Lecturer in Systems Engineering with London South Bank University. This was followed by the role of SERC Research Fellow at the University of Warwick before returning to the commercial world as a Principal Consultant R&D with the Parallax Group. Felix became a founding member of Sentient Ltd in 1993 and then joined The SQL Group as a Software Engineer in 1994.

In 1995, Felix became a Technical Consultant in R&D with Altris Software, followed by the role of Director of R&D at Cygnus Imaging. This role was succeeded by the position of Sr Project Manager and SR Software Engineer in Enterprise Architecture at the Apollo Group and CTO with Cygnus Technologies. Having accumulated substantial industry experience, Felix went on to hold several other notable positions, including CTO at the Merlin Institute of Science and Technology, Distinguished Faculty at the University of Phoneix, Professor of Informatics at Western International University, CTO at The Luther Law Firm, Professor at the University of the Potomac and CTO at Zemantix. A trusted advisor, he has held advisory roles with prominent organisations, such as Valley Advisory Group, Independent and Birmingham City University.

Best described as a systems engineer and a specialist in complex adaptive systems with expertise in a spectrum of projects and a multifaceted academic background, Felix is a leading authority on AI. Examining the impact of AI on business, he is the author of The 4th Industrial Revolution: Responding to the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Business. Recognised for his innovation in complex adaptive systems, Felix is the recipient of the UK Government’s Innovation Award.
