Javed Laher

Javed Laher is an AI Futurist and internationally recognised keynote speaker with more than 15 years of experience across global technology leaders including Microsoft, Amazon and IBM. With a rare combination of enterprise-level expertise and academic depth, Javed is known for helping organisations understand what artificial intelligence truly means for their workforce, strategy and long-term competitiveness. His work centres on the future of work, the widening UK skills gap and the responsible adoption of AI at scale.

During his time at Microsoft, Javed held senior leadership roles including Strategic Client Account Director and UK Search Lead, managing multimillion-pound portfolios and C-suite relationships. He received the internationally recognised Breaking Ground Award for outstanding cross-functional performance and was invited to speak at global partner summits in both the UK and the United States. At Amazon, he led strategic advertising partnerships across finance and consumer sectors, delivering growth of over 200 percent year on year for key clients. He later became Sales Director EMEA at Flashtalking by Mediaocean, overseeing AI-powered SaaS advertising solutions across Europe and working closely with platforms such as Meta and TikTok.

Academically, Javed holds an MBA from Brunel University London, where his dissertation, ‘The Rise of Artificial Intelligence’, examined the impact of AI on UK employment and the emerging skills gap. Completed in 2019, his research accurately anticipated the acceleration of automation and the urgent demand for reskilling across industries. He also completed executive education in Strategic Business Management at Harvard University and now serves on the Brunel Business School Advisory Board. Featured in Forbes, BBC and Sky TV, Javed has contributed to nationally televised AI debates and government-level panel discussions, shaping conversations around the UK’s position in the global AI race.

Today, Javed is Global AI Consultant at FutureTrain.ai, delivering AI consultancy and education programmes to enterprises, educators and professionals across the UK and UAE.
