Kevin Lin is one of the most influential figures in the evolution of the digital creator economy, recognised as the Co-Founder and former Chief Operating Officer of Twitch, Co-Founder and CEO of Metatheory, and Founding General Partner of Lifelike Capital. Kevin’s entrepreneurial journey began as Chief Operating Officer of Justin.tv before co-founding Twitch, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the platform into the dominant force in live game streaming. Under his leadership as COO, Twitch captured around 90% of the gaming live streaming market, expanded to more than 2,000 employees and generated more than $1.5 billion in revenue. He was also instrumental in launching TwitchCon, creating one of the industry’s most influential community events. Following Twitch’s landmark acquisition by Amazon for approximately $970 million, Kevin continued to support the company’s international expansion, serving in senior leadership positions including Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Revenue Officer and Managing Director for Asia Pacific. His passion for building innovative businesses later led him to found Metatheory, bringing together gaming, storytelling and emerging technologies.

Alongside his entrepreneurial achievements, Kevin has established himself as one of Silicon Valley’s most respected investors and technology leaders. Since becoming an angel investor, he has backed more than 400 startups, including Oura, Cruise Automation and Nothing, before launching Lifelike Capital, a venture fund focused on gaming, consumer technology and emerging innovation. He has also served as a Visiting Partner at Y Combinator, launched the Ikigai Launchpad accelerator to support ambitious founders across Asia, sits on the board of Krafton, the creators of PUBG, and co-founded Gold House, an organisation dedicated to championing Asian American founders, creators and business leaders.
