Rose Luckin

Professor Rose Luckin is one of the world’s leading authorities on artificial intelligence in education. For more than three decades, she has explored how technology can enhance learning, teaching and human intelligence. Her work bridges research, policy and practice, and she has become a trusted voice to governments, global organisations and industry leaders seeking to understand the ethical and practical use of AI in education. Rose is Professor Emerita at University College London and Founder and CEO of Educate Ventures Research, a company dedicated to helping schools and businesses harness AI ethically and effectively. Before joining UCL, she was Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of Sussex, where she co-founded the Human Centred Technology Research Group. Her early academic background includes a First-Class Bachelor’s degree in AI and Computer Science and a PhD in Cognitive and Computing Sciences, both from the University of Sussex. Throughout her career, she has also advised institutions such as Cambridge University Press and Assessment, the UK Department for Education Science Advisory Council, and international education agencies shaping the future of learning technology.
